– A successful mailing
Direct mail examples
A direct mail campaign aimed at reactivating ‘sleepers’ (inactive customers). The goal? To encourage customers to start using the shared cars they offer again.
Two sustainable direct mail pieces were designed for the campaign:
1. An A4 letter in a C5 kraft paper envelope, including a discount card made from recycled paper.
2. A square postcard as an alternative test variant.
The campaign was in line with Greenwheels' digital-only strategy, but focused specifically on a group that was less easily reached through digital channels. An A/B test was conducted with free driving credit, and the campaign was repeated monthly. Data selection was based on a 500-metre radius around new locations and lookalike profiles of existing customers to maximise effectiveness.
For Christmas, we developed an exclusive and personal gift for HSO International's business relations and employees: a hardcover coffee table book in A4+ format. The book, rich in travel stories and images, was printed on glossy MC paper for optimal image quality.
In addition to production, we also took care of worldwide shipping and added a personalised full-colour Christmas card.
Hoogvliet ran a promotion with a festive chance card that customers received when they spent €10 (loyalty product). The full-colour cards contained around 100 offers hidden behind flaps. Each card had a unique code that allowed customers to enter a prize draw in collaboration with the Postcode Lottery.
The ‘Hoogvliet Trakteert’ campaign was carried out on a large scale, with a print run of 6 million cards. Production required a specially programmed machine for random image printing. Everything was printed in full colour. Despite the logistical challenge, the campaign was a great success.
