A CPDF (Certified Portable Document Format) is a platform-independent software representation of a document to be printed. A designer or graphic designer creates on his computer, using a graphic software programme, a digital design for a brochure or letter to be printed, which is part of a Direct Mail. After approval by the client, the digital design is converted into a print file (CPDF) that is used by the printer to create printing plates that are hung in the printing press for printing.
