A full-colour print consists of CMYK colours: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key (black). This is also known as 4-colour printing or full-colour printing. This printing is often chosen when there are four colours or more in the design, for example for a brochure. With the 4 basic colours, it is possible to make almost any colour required. The ink colour of a PMS colour is pre-mixed at the factory. An additional PMS colour is often printed on a separate fifth press tower in addition to the 4 base colours, for example if a specific colour for a logo is very important.
